Premiered on ABC Network on October 3, 2004, Desperate Housewives is one of the very popular American television series.   The show is created by Marc Cherry and is a production of ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. Desperate Housewives season 5 comes to an end on May 17, 2009 and the sixth season would be premiered on September 27, 2009.   

The storyline of Desperate Housewives is set in Wisteria Lane, Fairview and it revolves around the lives of a group of women residing there. It shows them as they deal with the domestic, personal, professional and family related issues. In addition to it, the show also throws light on the hidden secrets of the community and tells us how the ordinary lives of women are not like what they seem to be. Mary Alice is a dead lady and the whole storyline of the show is seen through her eyes. Among other characters of the series are Susan Mayer, Lynette Scavo, Bree Van De Kamp and Gabrielle Solis. It has been received with open arms by audience and critics ever since its premiere.
