Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a reality television series. It’s hosted by Ty Pennington. The series is aimed to provide home renovations to the deserving people through out the country. It was first aired on February 15, 2004 and is currently running with the seventh successful season. 

In every episode, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition takes the viewers to the home of a family, which has faced some disaster, or a family where a family member is suffering from life threatening illness.      After finding out that the family deserves a home renovation, the producer contacts with local construction contractor and they join hands to do makeover of the family’s house. Show’s producers send the family on a vacation of seven days and during those seven days, their house is renovated including interior, exterior and landscaping etc. The house is replaced entirely if it can’t be repaired. Volunteers are also welcomed in the renovation process and the material and labor are always donated.
