Created by Seth MacFarlane, an Emmy nominated animation series Family Guy made its debut on January 31, 1999 on the Fox Network. All the events are set in the fictional town named Quahog, Rhode Island and the series revolves around the family of Griffins. Among the family members are: Peter Griffin, the ricey father; Lois Griffin, the mother; Meg, the young age daughter; Chris, the teenage son; Stewie, the youngest kid of the family. In addition to these, another important member of the family is Brian, the talking dog. Each of the family members has distinct characteristics and the series depicts their humorous activities as they deal with the everyday circumstances. 

In order to cope with the plot requirements, several guests and recurring characters has made appearances on Family Guy. The series has been accepted with open arms throughout the world since its premiere. Family Guy has completed airing seven seasons and the series would return with eighth season on September 27, 2009. A total of 124 episodes have been aired yet during all Family Guy seasons.
