Gilmore Girls, an American Comedy series, is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino. The series made its debut on October 5, 2005 on The WB network and it ran for seven consecutive seasons. The series finale was aired on May 15, 2007 on The CW Network as it shifted to the later network for the last season.    It has been honored as the top 100 TV shows of all time by the Time Magazine.   

The series is set in the fictional town named Stars Hollow, Connecticut and it centers on Lorelai Gilmore, a single mother and her daughter Rory Gilmore. Lorelai has been bringing up Rory since her childhood as a single parent. Therefore, the mother and daughter have very close relationship, more like friends. The two also share common interests such as their love for coffee. Gilmore Girls follows them as they deal with the new surprises and troubles brought to them by their ever-changing lives and try to be best friends. The other important characters of the series are Richard and Emily Gilmore, Lane, Luke, Paris and Kirk etc.
