Premiered on September 19, 2005 on the CBS Network, How I Met Your Mother is a very popular American sitcom. Craig Thomas and Carter Bays created the series. The fourth season of How I Met Your Mother finished airing on May 18, 2009. The respective network has announced the fifth season of How I Met Your Mother, which would hit the TV screens on September 21, 2009.

The storyline of the series is set in 2030 and it goes with help from the flashbacks from future. Ted Mosby is the central character of the series and it begins with him as he starts to tell his son and daughter the story how he comes to meet his soul mate, their mother. In order to carry out the plot requirements, various other characters such as Marshall Eriksen, Robin Scherbatsky, Barney Stinson and Lily Aldrin make appearances as and when required. A total no. of 88 episodes has been aired ever since the premiere of How I Met Your Mother and all the episodes are well accepted throughout the world.
