Merlin, a very popular British drama, made its premiere in 2008. As of now, the show is running with second series and has been renewed with the third series.

The storyline is derived from the story of legendary wizard Merlin and depicts his relationship with Prince Arthur. The creators have very brilliant kept it different from traditional versions of the saga.  Merlin, with magical powers, comes to Camelot after he has been arranged to become an apprentice of Gaius. After arriving there, Merlin comes to know that Uther Pendragon, the king, has kept last dragon deep beneath the city. Through the dragon, Merlin comes to know that destiny has selected him to save Arthur, the son of the king. Merlin and Arthur’s first meeting results in hatred for each other as Merlin thinks that Arthur is an arrogant boy. After Merlin saves Arthur’s life, he gets a job in the Royal Household and the two develop a great bond.  Merlin is being aired on BBC one and has secured a nice niche in the hearts of zillion of people all over the world.
