Directed by Seiji Mizushima Shaman King is a very popular animated television series. The storyline of the series is all derived from Japanese manga series of same name written by Hiroyuki Takei. 

The central character of the series is Manta Oyamada, a studious student. He resides in Tokyo. After one late night of cram school, Manta decides to take a shortcut, which goes through the graveyard. While passing through it, Manta meets Yoh Asakura and his companions. A conversation with Yoh makes Manta know that he is a shaman, a medium between living and dead.    Soon, Yoh and Manta become friends with each other and Yoh is seen helping him through various tasks. Another important part of the storyline is Shaman Fight, which is held to decide the Shaman King.
