Developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Smallville is an American Drama cum Sci-Fi television series. It’s derived from the DC Comics character Superman. The eighth season of Smallville comes to an end on May 14, 2009 and the ninth season would be premiered on September 25, 2009. 

The central character of the series is Clark Kent, a teenager and the events are set in Smallville, Kansas. It follows Clark as he deals with his super powers, such as super hearing, and explores his alien origin and comes to know his true destiny. Among the other important characters of the series are Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent, Clark’s parents; Chloe Sullivan and Pete Ross, Clark’s friends, Lana Lang, his girl friend, Lois Lane, Chloe’s cousin and Lex Luthor. Since its beginning, Smallville has won several awards including Emmy Awards and Teen Choice Awards. Smallville is one of the most popular series of the respective network and has been very much liked by the people since its premiere.
