Conceptualized by Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin, Stargate is the name of a military science fiction franchise. Till now, four television series have been launched by the franchise in addition to movies, games and books etc. These are SG-1, Stargate Infinity, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.

Stargate SG-1 was the first television, which was launched to continue the storyline of original Stargate movie. Stargate Infinity was the animated spin-off of Stargate SG-1. Next release from the franchise was named Stargate Atlantis and it revolved around the ventures of the ‘Atlantis Expedition’. It was a spin off of Stargate SG-1. The latest release from the franchise is named Stargate Universe. It is launched on October 2, 2009. A ship serves as the center of the storyline and nine episodes have been aired till date. It’s a spin-off of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. As per the details revealed by the network, Stargate Universe will run for three seasons. All TV shows versions have been very much liked by people throughout the world and the latest season of Stargate Universe is also doing well in TV world.
