Created and produced by Chuck Lore and Bill Prady, The Big Bang Theory is a very popular American sitcom. It’s a production of Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions. The series first hit the TV screens on September 24, 2007 on the CBS Network. The second season of The Big Bang Theory came to an end on May 11, 2009. CBS Network has announced the third season of the show, which would be kicked off on September 21, 2009.     

The storyline of the series is set in Pasadena, California. It revolves around two male Caltech geniuses, namely Leonard and Sheldon. Leonard is an experimental physicist and Sheldon is a theoretical physicist. Another important character of the series is Penny, an attractive waitress who lives across the hall from the prodigies. As The Big Bang Theory goes on, viewers see buddies’ (Leonard and Sheldon’s) geekiness and intelligence contrasting with beautiful lady’s social aptitude. Howard and Rajesh are also among main characters of the series. The show has a huge fan base throughout the world.
