Created by Matt Groening, The Simpsons is a popular American Animated series. It made its debut on December 17, 1989 on the Fox Network. The series is set in the fictional town of Springfield and it centers on the Simpsons, a dim-witted as well as dysfunctional family. The family members are Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson and Maggie Simpson.     Homer Simpson, the patriarch of the family is an alcoholic father; Marge is a housewife and caring mother; Bart, the teenage boy, likes to play pranks on others; Lisa is a little intelligent daughter of the family; and Maggie is the little kid of the family. 

The Simpsons has successfully completed its twentieth season and it would soon return with the twenty-first season. It’s known for making fun of American culture, society and television and has been welcomed by the people of all age groups. Ever since its premiere on Fox, it has been one of the highly liked and appreciated series. Its unique plotline and brilliant way of representing the stuff has helped The Simpsons to get nominated and won innumerous renowned awards.
