Created by David Mamet, The Unit is an action drama television series being aired on American television. The series aired its opener on March 7, 2006 on CBS Network. It ran for four successful seasons and came to an end on May 10, 2009 after airing four consecutive seasons on the same network.

The series centers on a team of Special Forces operatives and shows how they risk their lives to protect the integrity and safety of their countries. On the other hand, their wives maintain the family problems and hold the secrets of their husbands. The leading character of the series is Jonas Blane. He leads the team of the brilliants operatives to carry out their missions. Among the members of The Unit are Jonas, Colonel Tom Ryan, Charles Grey, Mack Gerhardt, Hector Williams and Bob Brown etc. Jonas leads the men and leading the women on the show is his wife Molly Blane. She is seen counseling the wives of all operatives who are away from their homes and also helps them to cope with fear and other problems on everyday basis.
