
Created and produced by Alan Ball, True Blood is an American television drama series. The show is derived from a series of novels penned by Charlaine Harris and was premiered on September 7, 2008. Currently, True Blood is running with second season and the third season of the series has been announced by the HBO Network.
All the events are set in Bon Temps, a fictional small Louisiana town and the show revolves around the co-existence of vampires and humans in the town. The central character of the series is a telepathic waitress at a bar, named Sookie Stackhouse. True Blood goes along with her as she falls in love with Bill Compton, a vampire. Among the other important character of the series are Sam Merlotte, Tara Thornton, Jason Stackhouse, Andy Bellefleur, Hoyt Fortenberry and Jessica Hamby etc. The first season of series received a good response from viewers and won a Golden Globe award.
