Weeds, a popular American television Drama cum comedy series, was premiered on August 8, 2005 on the Showtime Network. The show is created by Jenji Kohan and produced by Lionsgate television.  The series is currently running with fifth successful season. 

All the events are set in fictional affluent California suburb and the central character of the series is Nancy, a widowed housewife. After the death of her husband, Judah, Nancy becomes the matriarch and starts to sell marijuana in the community she is a part of. Among her family members are her two kids, namely Silas and Shane and her brother-in-law, named Andy. Through Nancy’s character, Weeds throws light on the hidden secrets of the rich people. All the seasons showed Nancy dealing with new troubles and doing her best to keep life on track. Ever since its premiere, Weeds has been one of successful shows of Showtime Network and has secured a huge fan base not only in America but all around the world.
