The Emmy Award winning live action series Wizards of Waverly Place made its debut on October 12, 2007 on the Disney Channel. Todd J. Greenwald created the show. It has completed two successful seasons and the third season of Wizards of Waverly Place would be premiered on October 9, 2009.

The central point of the show is Russo family. Among the family members are Alex, a teenage girl, her older brother, Justin and Max, their younger brother. Another important character of story is Harper, Alex’s best friend and Jerry, the father of Russo family and Theresa, their mother. All the Russo kids are wizards, their father is a formal wizard and their mother is a mortal. Though they possess unlimited magical abilities, they are not supposed to use them without supervision. A magic competition would be held in the future and only one of them would be allowed to keep magical abilities. The series follows all of them as they go through everyday situations using their magical abilities. Series has been very much liked by kids since its premiere.
