At MIT there is an astrophysics student named Rhoda Williams who once has seen a planet during driving and on seeing it she determines to see its close look. As she distracts by watching the planet and she forgets to concentrate over her drive and in her negligence, she hits a minivan and in that hit she kills a family. For this she has imprisoned for four years, when she releases from prison she finds the widower of the family John Burroughs. Later she comes to know the planet she has seen is a mirror planet of earth and she can visit it just after winning an essay contest. Knowing this Williams considers the possibility to see it.
