The season begins with Hank Moody, a 40 something man. He is seen in a church praying to Jesus to give him the courage to deal with troubles and get everything on the track. A hot nun diverted his attention at the church. Hank Moody is addicted to sex and has slept with several women. One of the women is betraying her husband and teenager daughter named Mia.  His ex girlfriend is named Karen and the lady still seems to have feelings for him.  Hank Moody and Karen have a teenage daughter named Becca. Though Becca is an intelligent girl, her involvement and interest in sex worries the parents.
