The very first episode of American Idol Season 1 was aired on June 11, 2002. The very first episode showed the auditions held throughout the country. The process goes on and in the season finale; viewers were introduced to the winner of American Idol season 1. Kelly Clarkson wins the competition by beating Justin Guarini in the finale. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson served as the judges for this season. Ryan Seacrest and Brian Dunkleman hosted the season. It comes to an end on September 4, 2002. American Idol season 1 received much response from people throughout the country and gave a rocking start to the journey of this amazing reality TV show, aimed to select the best singing talent in the country.
