The Agent of the Shinigami Arc is the first season of Bleach TV show and in the English adaptation of the show; it’s called as The Substitute.   It ran for the Japanese viewers from October 5, 2004 to February 22, 2005 and aired from September 8, 2006 to January 26, 2007 in US.  In the very first episode of the season named The Day I Became Shinigami showed how Ichigo Kurosaki became Shinigami and started his journey as a Soul Reaper. Gin’s Shadow named episodes marked the end of the season. Throughout the run of the season, there were various ups and downs and it managed to tie the viewers to their seats while the episodes were on air.    Bleach and its characters, especially Ichigo Kurosaki, are very popular throughout the country.
